TrexCab Heat Tracing Terminator is an auxiliary kit that designed and manufactured to provide users to make the termination of heating cables which are used for electrical heat tracing systems in safe or potentially explosive areas. Main usage purpose of this termination kit is to provide protection against damage to heating cables at termination points. It is a kit that can also be used as a support leg for the junction box / terminal enclosure which is used for cable termination.
TrexCab termination kit makes possible to terminate three of heating cables. This feature of TrexCab makes it unique when considering the other similar products in the market.
UNIQUE DESIGN: Capable to terminate three heating cables at the same point.
The complete kit consists of two parts (upper & lower) and both parts are made from glass re-inforced PPS which provides robust structure with high impact resistance. TrexCab Heat Tracing Terminator can be used for both indoor and outdoor* applications (*for outdoor use, suitable junction box should be used together with the termination kit). Stainless steel screws are used for the connection of the upper and the lower parts. The complete body of the termination kit is self-extinguishing (V0) according to UL-94 standard.
TrexCab Heat Tracing Terminator can be used for power termination or tee splice terminations of heating cables. Furthermore, it can be used for RTD termination when its used together with the suitable seal which exists in the TrexCab package. Thanks to its unique design, it can be used in all heat tracing systems on pipelines larger than DN20.
WIDE TEMPerature RANGE: -65°C / +225°C
TrexCab is an increased safety – Ex e – termination kit and it is tested and approved to be used in very cold environment (down to -65°C). Thanks to this feature it can be used for all heat tracing systems which may take place in anywhere around the world.
The withstand temperature of the TrexCab terminatior is 225°C. Therefore, it can be directly installed on a pipeline without using any thermal barrier for electrical heat tracing applications up to this temperature.
