Diamond Series Exproof Terminal Enclosures / Junction Boxes are designed and manufactured to provide users to make the termination of power or signal cables in safe or potentially explosive areas. The highlight of these ex junction boxes is their durability along many years in operation by being robust, chemical and impact resistant.
The body and the lid are made from glass re-inforced polyester which provides robust structure with high impact resistance. Thanks to the IP66 protection degree, these exproof junction boxes can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications. Stainless steel screws are used for the connection of the body and the lid. The complete body of the enclosure is self-extinguishing (V0) according to UL-94 standard.
These increased safety – Ex e – terminal enclosures are tested and approved to be used in very cold environment (down to -65°C). Thanks to this feature, users are free to use these ex enclosures for their project which may take place anywhere around the world.
Tough body that is made from glass reinforced polyeser provides sea water corrosion resistance; furthermore, these exproof junction boxes are suitable to be used in any area where chemical substances exist. High impact resistance of the surface makes the ex enclosures ideal for harsh conditions.
As a standard, Diamond Series Exproof Enclosures are supplied with internal & external earthing stud and internal earthing continuity plates which provide equipotential earthing between the internal and the external surface of the exproof enclosure.
Exproof junction boxes are supplied without terminal and cable gland which are subject to be chosen specifically for the application; but different variations concerning entries, cable glands and terminals are availabe upon request with required sizes.
